No doubt, this will definitely help the skin heal from damage brought about by acne.

Get a piece of aloe vera plant and scrape off the soft part of the stem. Gently rub the aloe gel into the skin using a clean washcloth to exfoliate skin then rinse.

Household Item #2: Baking Soda

Baking soda has been proven to be beneficial when talking of acne treatment. It is also one of the most affordable ways. Baking soda contains sodium bicarbonate which helps treat acne. Like the aloe gel, it exfoliates the skin and removes the uppermost layers of skin affected by acne.

Mix a tablespoon of baking soda (make sure it’s not a baking powder) with warm water to make a paste. Put it on the face. Gently rub it into the skin. Allow it to set for 30 seconds and rinse thoroughly.

Household Item #3: Ice

Ice is frozen water. Though it doesn’t actually treat acne per se, it minimizes the appearance of it temporarily.

To use this, hold ice cubes into a clean washcloth to the area of inflamed pimples for several seconds.

Household Item #4: Lemon Juice

Lemon is an acid citrus fruit. Health 911 explains that lemon juice and similar acidic substances can flush out pores.

Soak a clean cotton ball into lemon juice and gently dab over your face. Allow to set and then rinse thoroughly.

Household Item #5: Oatmeal

These are oats crushed into coarse meal or flattened flakes.

Mix a few tablespoon of oatmeal with warm water into a paste. Apply this mixture into face and gently rub it. Rinse the mixture off. Do the routine each night before sleeping. The routine removes dead skin cells and excess oil that helps build up acne.
